C6- Gyeongju & Busan Tour

Gyeongju city: Gyeongju is a city of history,culture and sightseeing which attr
acts a lot of tourists from home and abroad and there are
abundant treasures throughout the city.

Cheomseongdae: An astronomical observatory Cheomseongdae is a stone tower
well known as the oldest astronomical observatory in the East.

Bulguksa: Trace the history of the splendid Silla culture lying at the mid-
slope of Tohamsan, Bulguksa is a famous temple representing
Korea, designated as World Culture Heritage.

Busan: Busan is the second largest city in Korea. Its deep harbor and
gentle tides have allowed it to grow into the largest container
handling port in the country and the third largest in the world, with
potential for even more growth. Its natural endowments and rich
history have resulted in Busan's increasing reputation as a world
class city of tourism and culture

Taejongdae Beach: Taejongdae resort offers not only a beautiful craggy coast but
also many wonders of natural science.
There are about 120 kinds of trees and countless unique rocks
around the 250m-high peak. King Taejong Muyeol of the Silla
dynasty was said to enjoy archery here after the unification of the
Three Kingdoms. One well-known highlight in all this wonderful
scenery, with its rich forests and towering gray cliffs alongside
the refreshing sea, is Shinseon-am (Shinseon Rock) located
below the lighthouse

Haeundae Beach: Considered one of the eight scenic wonders in Korea,
Haeundae Beach Resort is the largest in Korea and the only one
to combine a beach with a hot spring.
This beach, with gently curved sands stretching for 2km and
60,000m2- wide can attract about 120 thousand visitors. Open from
July 1 to August 31, the average temperature of water is 22.6oC.

Seokguram: Kim Dae-Seong, the Prime Minister in the 10th year of King
Gyeongdeok’s reign in the Silla era (751), established Seokgulam
Cave. At that time, it was called Seokbulsa.
During King Gyeongdeok’s reign (742-765), a lot of cultural properties,
including Bulguksa Temple, wangryongsadaejong Bell, and Seokgulam
Cave, were made, which made the period the heyday of Silla’s Buddhist
art.

Gyeongju National Museum: Gyeongju National Museum is deep in tradition, with a history of
about 90 years. Representing Gyeongju, which used to be the
capital of Silla (BC57~AD935), the museum is where you can
view the cultural history of Gyeongju district. The exhibit hall
is divided into 4 large parts: the Main hall, Annex I, Annex II,
and the Outdoor Exhibit Area (Museum Grounds).

Anapji Pond: Located within minutes walk from Cheomseongdae is Anapji
Pond where the Shilla royal family relaxed and enjoyed
themselves. The pond was temporarily drained in 1974 to reveal a
veritable treasure trove of Shilla artifacts which are now on
display in Gyeongju National Museum.

Daeneungwon: On the size of about 126,500 ㎡ in the city center of Gyeongju, 23
ancient tombs including that of King Mich'uwang in the Silla
era lie. There used to be numerous tombs in addition to the existing
ancient tombs though, having developed the area into the park zone
centering on tombs with a grave mound left it as it looks now.

Yongdusan Park: Yongdusan Park was loved by school excursions or picnics in the
past. The flower clock is definately the photo spot.
How about taking a photo with your family, date, or friends in front of
the flower clock next weekend remembering the old days.

U.N. Memorial Cemetery: This is the only cemetery under the care of the UN.
Here lie the heroic warriors who gave their lives to uphold world
peace and freedom in the Korean War.
